Hawaii holidays

Hawaii holidays

Hawaii holidaysWhether it's the lure of a luau, the delicate floral leis, the pineapple farms or the miles of sandy beaches, Hawaii is a top choice for many holidaymakers.

The island paradise in the Pacific Ocean is the perfect place to visit and kick back and relax while taking a break stateside. With beautiful beaches, rolling surf and friendly locals, you'll find no better spot for your holiday if you are seeking an island retreat.

If you're after a laid-back, beachy holiday to the USA, why not consider the Hawaiian breaks on offer from Bon Voyage?

Hawaiian happiness

Hawaii holidays can be as action-packed or laidback as you want.

Although the islands have a reputation for their beaches and surfing, there is also plenty of culture, history and scenery to be discovered away from the ocean.

Honolulu – located on the island of Oahu – in particular has a great deal of diverse sights and attractions that travellers should be sure not to miss. If you opt for a Honolulu holiday, you'll get a great taste of Hawaii.

Oahu is home to the majority of the islands' population and more than 125 beaches can be found along its coastline, including the world-famous Waikiki Beach. However, if you're after a bit more privacy and peace and quiet, then you'll find plenty of secluded coves to keep you happy.

If you're feeling energetic then you can take to the waves for some surfing – surely an activity that everyone has to try at least once on a visit to Hawaii – or even appreciate the life beneath the waves by going snorkelling.

You might want to balance your days on the beach with a spot of culture and Honolulu has lots to offer on that score. The Iolani Palace in downtown Oahu was home to the last Hawaiian reigning monarchs and is worth a visit, while the USS Arizona Memorial Museum at Pearl Harbour will give you an insight into some of Hawaii's more recent history.

Hop between the islands

But if you book a Hawaiian getaway you may not want to restrict yourself to one island alone.

Island hopping is a great way to experience the different characteristics of each Hawaiian isle and flying between the locations will prove to be an adventure of its own.

Whether you're after some rest and relaxation on Maui or want to see Hawaii itself – known locally as 'the big island' – there is plenty to see and do across the Hawaiian islands.

From beaches to forests, mountains to waterfalls and volcanoes to the rolling ocean, you will find breathtaking views and stunning scenery wherever you decide to stay.

Enjoy a romantic getaway in Hawaii

If you are looking for a romantic break with a partner or need some inspiration about where to head to for your honeymoon, then Hawaii could be a perfect place to investigate.

Hawaii honeymoons are guaranteed to be special, providing a truly beautiful backdrop for you and your loved one to enjoy.

The islands boast a host of luxury and secluded resorts where you can enjoy spending time together after the celebrations of your wedding day.

You'll be able to find your own corner of paradise when you visit Hawaii and you can choose to do as much or as little as you please. Whether you simply want to relax on the beautiful beaches and spend time together, or if you're after a bit of adventure and exploration, you will be well catered for.

Hiring a car is one choice to consider – you could head off in the morning on a mini -dventure around your chosen destination, with mountains, volcanoes and waterfalls all just waiting to be discovered.

Stop off in mainland America on your Hawaiian trip

Getting to Hawaii – particularly from the UK – can be long, so we recommend stopping off in mainland America on one leg of your journey.

Flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco take approximately five and half hours and when that's added onto a trip from London, it could take you more than 17 hours to reach your destination. Instead, why not stop off for a few days of exploring in another US destination before continuing on to Hawaii?

Here at Bon Voyage, we can organise a stop over in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Las Vegas – as well as other cities – so just let us know if you want to spend some time in one of these vibrant metropolises.

You don't just have to go for the obvious options – if there is a particular place that you've always wanted to visit then tell us and we'll do our best to create an itinerary that allows you to go there.

Booking tailor-made holidays to Hawaii couldn't be easier, so get in touch with Bon Voyage today.
