UK school trips

UK school trips

Teachers who want to give their students an opportunity to go on educational school trips can find many excursions to take them on in the UK.

There are a number places to visit in Britain that will be able to give pupils a chance to develop their skills and acquire more knowledge of the subjects they are studying.

Equity School Travel provides trips to Stratford-upon-Avon, York, Edinburgh and Cornwall, as well as school tours to London, enabling students to gain a wealth of experience in the worlds of art, politics, history, music and fashion.

What you can see on school trip around the UK

London has plenty of places to visit and you're bound to have a list of sights to see depending on what subject the school group is studying.

Some of the most popular excursions in the capital include a visit to the Houses of Parliament – for those interested in politics – as well as a trip on the London Eye to get great views of the city and a tour of the London Olympic 2012 sites.

If you've got a group studying musical theatre, taking a seat at a West End show is a must and you might also want to enrol pupils in workshops where they can enhance their skills by learning from the best in the field.

For those who want to explore other regions of Britain, you might want to visit Edinburgh to see its famous sights, such as the Royal Yacht Britannia and Edinburgh Castle.

York offers the opportunity to learn more about history with its Jorvik Viking Centre and York Dungeon, while Cornwall is excellent for biologists as it has Newquay Zoo, the Eden Project and the National Lobster Hatchery.

And students studying literature are sure to be interested in a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon as this is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and there are many sites here dedicated to the playwright.

Equity School Travel can help you find the perfect tour of the UK

School groups are likely to want to see all the country's famous attractions but with so much to pack in, it can be hard to know where's best to visit.

As we have been creating itineraries since 1991, we have a good understanding of the places to go for educational value, depending on the subject and age of the group.

Our team of experts can tailor a package to fulfil all your requirements, working closely with you right up until the moment you return from your school trip.

As a member of the School Travel Forum and a holder of a Council for Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge, we ensure that our trips are educational as well as enjoyable, so you can be certain they'll have a lot of value for your schoolchildren.
