Kingfisher Airlines launches new Bangkok routes

Kingfisher Airlines continues its international expansion with the launch of two new routes from Mumbai to Bangkok and New Delhi to Bangkok commencing April 17th 2010.

The seventh international destination for India’s only five-star airline, offers one-stop connections from London Heathrow to Bangkok via Mumbai.

The Bangkok services will be operated using Kingfisher Airlines’ modern fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, in a dual class configuration featuring Kingfisher Class and Kingfisher First, while the London – Mumbai service is operated with the latest Airbus A330-200.

The outbound flight departs London Heathrow at 21.00, arriving Mumbai at 10.40 before connecting at 13.15 for the onward service to Bangkok which arrives at 19.05 (daily except Monday). The return service departs Bangkok at 08.30 (daily except Tuesday) arriving Mumbai at 11.25, with an onward connection to London Heathrow departing 12.25 to arrive at 17.50.

Commenting on the launch of this new international route, Dr Vijay Mallya, chairman and CEO of Kingfisher Airlines Limited said: “Kingfisher Airlines has redefined the whole experience of flying and discerning flyers from the UK will now have the choice of travelling by India’s favourite airline to Thailand. Besides catering to leisure traffic, these new services will serve the huge business community who frequently fly on these routes.”

Kingfisher Airlines has the largest network in India connecting 61 cities and seven international destinations with a fleet of 66 aircraft. Last month, India’s leading airline launched a daily service from London Heathrow – New Delhi to complement the established London Heathrow – Mumbai daily route.
