Forget The Long Haul Flight And Fly To Turkey In 2017

written by admin June 5, 2017

It’s that time of year again; it’s almost six months since the Christmas break and until now the thought of choosing where to go on your holiday has stopped you from booking one. However, you are in dire need of the summer sun and dreaming of far off shores where you can lay your weary body on pristine warm white sands and cool off in inviting warm azure waters. The mere thought of a palm fringed beach gives you butterflies and then they disappear when you think of the long haul flight that goes hand in hand with this Utopia or does it?

What Does Turkey Have To Offer?

It’s time to rethink this lovely dream, do you really need to travel for around nine hours feeling agitated, cramped and hemmed in? Actually no you don’t you can have the palm fringed beach, pristine white sand and the crystal clear azure sea in around four hours and it can all be found in beautiful Turkey on the pretty Mediterranean Coastline referred to as the Turquoise Coast and with good reason, it spans almost 1600km (994 miles) from Bodrum to Alanya and beyond, here you will find stunning beaches, scenic villages dotted with picturesque ruins, museums, art galleries castles and unexplored coves and that’s just for starters.

For those you have already visited this wonderful country many have been so besotted by all that Turkey has to offer, they have decided not to just visit for their holidays but to actually invest in property in Turkey as they see it as their preferred holiday destination and it’s understandable to see why. With in excess of 300 days per year of beautiful sunshine Turkey makes for a wonderful destination and the cost of staying in Turkey is very affordable. The all inclusive package deals are still fairly popular but now more than ever holidaymakers prefer to rent a property for the duration of their stay because it offers not only more space but freedom of movement and privacy that you will not find in a hotel.

What Are The Best Areas In Turkey?

There are some absolutely wonderful areas to visit in Turkey and you will be spoilt for choice, let’s start with Bodrum it is a cosmopolitan city and is home to many fine beaches, art, culture, sightseeing and not one but several stunning marinas, boutique shops, wonderful scenic routes along the coastline where you can take a stroll and there is a magnificent castle.

Then there is Fethiye its one of the most desired areas to visit in Turkey with its pretty unspoilt villages and sandy beaches some are considered the finest in the world and to the South is picturesque Oludeniz. This utterly lovely town is world famous for its beautiful beach and blue lagoon, Fethiye offers nature parks, gorges and waterfalls with ancient tombs and ruins to meander around if you fancy a day away from the beach.

Further along the coast, we find Antalya this idyllic city is a haven for sun-loving tourists and is ranked within the top world most visited cities by tourists and holiday makers. It boasts the title of being Turkey’s largest international sea resort and its impressive coastline which is no less than 657 km (408 miles) with sun-kissed beaches, ports and historic ancient cities.

Dining out is all about freshness from locally caught fish to lamb, beef and chicken dishes all served up with crisp salads and crusty bread. Desserts are sweet and delicious, there are locally produced wine, spirits and beer as well as imported drinks.

Forget the long haul this year and visit Turkey, possibly you won’t ever fly long haul again!
