Drive away in a hire car from Milan airport

written by Dan Casper March 19, 2016

Drive away in a hire car from Milan airport

When you touch down at Milan Malpensa Airport, it is likely you will want to get started exploring the Italian city as soon as possible.

Luckily, by arranging car hire from Milan airport through Auto Europe, you can do just that – whether you are visiting for reasons of business or pleasure.

Our car hire suppliers have desks at the arrivals hall of Terminal 1, so you don't have to look far if you are keen to rent a vehicle for the duration of your stay in the city.

To find out more about the benefits of driving away from the airport in a hire car, read on.

Get your trip off to a flying start

When you have your own set of wheels, you don't have to worry about queuing for taxis and then spending a significant sum to be ferried across the city to reach your hotel.

Instead, you can travel there in style in your choice of a host of different vehicle makes and models. If you're with your family, you may wish to rent an SUV for your trip, while business travellers might prefer treating themselves to a sports car.

No sooner do you have the keys in your hand than you can hit the road and be at your hotel in next to no time.

However, perhaps the main perk of having a hire car while you are staying in Milan is that it allows you to easily head out of the city limits and explore the surrounding area.

Italy is home to so many fascinating cities, historical attractions and breathtaking views that you could well be keen to see as much of the country as possible during your stay – and with a hire car at your disposal, you can do just that.

Auto Europe's car hire suppliers have desks at Milan Malpensa Airport that typically operate between 07:00 and midnight local time. We advise that you book before you travel, so all you have to do when you arrive is pick up the keys and you can be on your way.

Milan Malpensa Airport is just 24 miles (40 km) outside of the city, so you should reach there in 45 minutes.

However, you can also rent a vehicle to pick up from Linate Airport, which is only 4 miles (8 km) and 20 minutes from the city centre.

Again, you will find most of our car hire suppliers within the arrivals hall of the terminal building, and their opening hours are usually between 07:00 and midnight local time.

Hire a car through Auto Europe

When you come to Auto Europe with the intention of hiring a car during your stay in Milan, you are certain to be pleasantly surprised by our competitive prices.

Not only that, but we pledge that the quote you receive from us is what you'll pay, so you don't have to worry about any unexpected additions to your final bill.

You can choose everything from economy cars to luxurious makes when you come to us, while you could also rent a motorbike if you would prefer to explore Milan on two wheels.

It's so easy to hire a car from us – simply fill out the form on our website, or you can call us on 0800 358 1229.

We will also provide you with 24-hour customer service, so if you need to get in contact with us during your trip, it will be easy to do so.
