A guide to group ski chalets offered by Sno

A guide to group ski chalets offered by Sno

If you've decided on a ski holiday for your next getaway and you plan to travel as part of a group, you'll want to make sure the accommodation you choose will cater for the needs of everyone in your party.

Chalets have long been the most popular places to stay in among skiers, but gone are the days when chalets were simple timber lodges with few modcons. Now, you can pick from a vast selection of both modern and traditional chalets that boast a range of useful or luxurious features, depending on your requirements.

The choice offered by Sno is unrivalled, and you'll find accommodation that is perfect for small groups of people, right through to large parties of 20 or more. Whether you want to relax by an open fire in the evening, or soothe away any aches in a hot tub, our selection of chalets to rent will turn up something suitable.

How to choose the right chalet for your group

When it comes to booking your accommodation, you'll need to give some thought to the destination you want to visit, as well as the needs of the people in your group. Norway, Italy, Sweden, France and North America are among the locations you can choose from when you book a group chalet with us, along with Austria, Bulgaria and a number of other destinations.

Once you've decided where you want to base yourselves, consider the style of chalet you'd like to stay in. Group ski chalets can cater for six to 12 people, 12 to 20 people, or a greater number of travellers, and there are specific choices to look at depending on the number of holidaymakers in your party.

In terms of budget, you could opt for a basic two-star lodge if you want to keep costs low, or choose a five-star alternative if it's luxury you're after. Some chalets at group ski resorts have ski in ski out facilities, while others offer added touches like a swimming pool or sauna.

Spend some time considering how mealtimes will be addressed too, as catering for a large group might be something you don't particularly want to do. In which case, catered chalets are ideal, as your breakfast will be cooked for you and you can even buy a packed lunch to take out on day trips. Some catered options provide the services of a chef throughout the day, so you can tuck into afternoon coffee and cake, as well as a four-course dinner, complete with wine, coffee and chocolates.
