written by admin June 13, 2018

When you are planning a visit to Norway, one of your concerns will be finding the best place to stay. Fortunately, there are several hotels, AirBnB and hostels for visitors to Norway. Some of them are what you will expect on a visit to a foreign country, others are very exciting accommodation options that will really make your visit a remarkable one.

Accommodation on the go

If you like your fun and excitement to be never take a break for bed, then you may want to take your bed and breakfast with you wherever you go. There are several agencies that rent out campers or campervans which contains a kitchen, a bed, chair and table and even free Wi-Fi. Once you have rented a camper of your choice, you can simply drive to your destination, look for one of the many camping grounds to park your campervan and embark on your sightseeing. The beauty of this system is that you can either choose to sleep or drive. Lots of visitors to Norway opt to have their accommodation on the road, and they end up having a swell time.

 Something fishy

The northern part of Norway is known for the many picturesque fishermen’s cabin that dot the coast. These cabins, most of them facing out to the sea are steeped in Norwegian history and tradition, a resting place for the hardworking fishermen that put out to sea every day. While you may not actually be spending the night in these cabins, there are a set of more modern structures within the vicinity of the Svolvær harbour on Austvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago. These trendy sea facing cabins, backed by impressive mountains will give you an idea of the luxury of living by the sea. In the evenings, you can stroll down the tiny streets to visit any of the many restaurants and art galleries in town. And for just a few bucks, you can enjoy the delicacy of freshly caught fish, prepared the Scandinavian way.

Up in the trees

If you ever want to know what it feels like to spend a night up in a tree, there is no better place to find out than in Brumunddal. These novel accommodations are a series of huts built in the trees several meters above the ground. Because you will practically be living in the forest, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic views of countless green trees, exotic forest animals and many more. And even though these trees may look like something out of the jungle book, be rest assured that you will not really be roughing it. Each hut comes with a bio toilet, kitchen, shower and even a veranda. What more can you look for in a night in the wilds.

Accommodations for the modern traveler

So you are more of the modern traveler? No problem, Norway is full of beautiful hotels that can cater to any budget. One such hotel is Yess! Hotel Kristiansand in Kristiansand. At Yess! Hotel, you are sure of affordable prices, courteous workers, free internet and just about every amenity that the modern traveler needs.

It doesn’t matter the kind of traveler you are, in Norway, you will always find something that meets your taste.
