Search and book Hong Kong to Sydney flights with Virgin Atlantic

If you're keen to take a flight from Hong Kong to Sydney, Virgin Atlantic can help.

Fly with us and you can easily search and book flights from the Chinese metropolis to the stunning Australian city. Whether you're travelling from Hong Kong to Sydney on business, visiting friends and relatives or you've always fancied seeing what life down under is like, our position as one of the world's leading airlines means you can be sure of getting a fantastic deal.

Travel to Sydney in style

Although the journey from Hong Kong International to Sydney's Kingsford-Smith Airport is fairly long – it takes just 9 hours and 15 minutes on the way there (and 9 hours and 10 minutes on the way back) – taking a Virgin Atlantic flight means that time is sure to quickly fly by.

We offer an extensive inflight entertainment package, which includes games, films, television programmes and music, so you'll be kept fully occupied for the duration of your journey. Alternatively, you can use our Skymap service to keep track of how long it will take to arrive at your destination. You can also look at your plane's exact location in the sky so that you know when you've crossed the equator.

There is also the opportunity to tuck into delicious food and drink as you fly, with the majority of our flights providing a free cocktail before take-off. If you have any special dietary requirements, let us know in advance and we will be able to accommodate for these.

While the range of services and amenities that are available to you will differ depending on which class of travel you pick, you can rest assured of having a fabulous flight when booking with us.

Travel in Economy class and you can choose from dozens of films to watch on your own personal seatback TV, while enjoying delicious complimentary meals and drinks. We'll also provide you with a complimentary issue of Seatback magazine to read as you fly, while our spacious beds ensure you'll have all the room needed to travel in comfort.

Our Premium Economy class offers a more luxurious travel experience than Economy and enables you to take advantage of a dedicated check-in service to help get your holiday off to a great start.

When you step onboard our plane, our friendly cabin crew will greet you with a free drink and newspaper when you've settled in. Your food will be served on china plates and you can eat with stainless steel cutlery, while you can also enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz.

For pure luxury, you'll want to book Upper Class. Doing so allows you to travel in total style, and we have fully-reclining beds that offer an 87 inch sleeping surface, longer than any other business class bed provided by any other airlines.

You'll be given a complimentary glass of champagne and get to dine gourmet food served on the finest crockery. If you want to mingle with other passengers, you can easily do so at the onboard bar where you can sip on cocktails and socialise.

Our Upper Class cabins are the equivalent of business class so you can plug your laptop into the socket to do some work, before kicking back and relaxing by watching a film or listening to music via your dedicated 12.1 inch touchscreen monitor.

Sydney is a charming and cosmopolitan destination

Once your flight to Sydney has touched down, you'll find wonderful landmarks and activities that cater to every interest. Among the city's most famous attractions, however, is the Sydney Opera House. While the performing arts complex puts on a wide range of shows and exhibitions throughout the year, it is perhaps the breathtaking exterior that really makes it stand out.

Culture lovers should check out the Australian National Maritime Museum to see a range of vessels, including battleships and submarines. The Museum of Sydney, which is built on the site of the first Government House, is a great place for travellers to visit as it offers an insight into how the city has evolved over the years.

Fans of the great outdoors, meanwhile, ought to head to Sydney's many beaches. Bondi is a particularly popular coastal stretch where you can relax in the sun or take a surfing lesson, while Shelly Beach offers snorkelers and scuba divers the opportunity to swim alongside colourful fish.
