Holiday in Egypt for a Luxury Break Away

Egypt offers something for everyone looking for a special break away. With beautiful beaches, ancient ruins and endless golden deserts, Anatolian Sky can tailor your trip so you can enjoy the holiday of your dreams.

We have been creating trips for more than 20 years, offering breaks to Turkey, Morocco, Cyprus and Jordan, as well as Egypt. With this vast experience, we know what holidaymakers want from their trip, whether they're looking for a bit of adventure during their getaway or to spend their time away relaxing on the beach.

In Egypt, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of activities to get involved in and sights to explore. Here are just a few things you can do on your luxury holiday to Egypt.

Egypt: a wealth of attractions

One of the main reasons people travel to the north African country is to take a look at its spectacular ancient monuments. You can explore the nation's capital Cairo before taking a trip to see its famous pyramids, which date back 7,000 years.

Heading to the Giza Plateau on the suburbs of the city is a highlight of most trips to Egypt, as this is where you'll come face-to-face with these magnificent structures, as well as the Great Sphinx. You can walk around these tombs or, for a chance to make the most of your experience in Egypt, embark on a camel ride around the area.

If you want to learn more about the mysteries that surround these a monuments, it is worth visiting the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which is home to 120,000 artefacts, including sarcophagi, mummies and treasures from King Tutankhamen's tomb.

Another place for history enthusiasts to visit is Luxor, which is the site of the ancient city of Thebes. Here, you'll come across a range of ancient temples. Walking through the Valley of the Kings will enable you to see huge sandy-coloured monuments built thousands of years ago.

Luxor is often included in Nile cruise trips, which make for brilliant luxury holidays to Egypt. By embarking on a cruise and travelling down the longest river in the world, you'll be able to see some of the country's most beautiful sights, from its fertile valleys to its ancient attractions.

Egypt isn't just a good destination to visit if you want a cultural break, as its golden beaches and beautiful sea makes it idyllic for sun worshippers who want to relax on the long stretches of sand. There are several resorts to choose from, all of which will offer the chance to unwind in the sunshine, immerse in Egyptian culture and go snorkelling or scuba diving. The Red Sea is home to a wealth of coral reefs and brightly-coloured marine life, which makes it an attractive option for water sports and nature enthusiasts alike.
