Whether you're a budding Jamie Oliver or simply enjoy fine dining, foodies of all kinds are sure to be captivated by the Dijous Bo festival.

Taking place every November, the food fair - located in the Mallorca town of Inca - offers a tantalising mixture of smells, sights and sounds certain to get visitors' tongues wagging.

Originally starting off as a cattle market, the popularity of the event has surged over recent years and as local farmers and food producers exhibit all manner of wares, visitors come not only from across the Balearic island but also much further afield to take in the food festivities. Indeed, as many 200,000 people will line the streets of the small town over the course of the event.

However, with so many making their way to Inca, those who do not want to miss out on Dijous Bo may want to consider booking their accommodation well in advance and seek out exclusive villas in Mallorca.

And for those wishing to sample some true Spanish cuisine there could be no better place to visit, as some of the best Mallorquin produce is available, ranging from freshly baked bread to sizeable slabs of luxurious cheese.

Those feeling full from all the food-related goings on may be happy to know that there are a number of cultural and sporting activities to distract them while their stomach settles. Chess tournaments, music performances and art shows are some of the things going on, while children are bound to be captivated by the sight of various farm animals at the festival.

Meanwhile, a number of stands sell leather goods and arts and crafts items meaning there will be the chance for holidaymakers to introduce a little local flavour into their accommodation - whether it be luxury villas in Mallorca or otherwise - before taking home their purchases as a souvenir.

With so much tasty food on offer, visitors could well find they weigh a few pounds more on their return home!
