What could be a better holiday for your little princess than a trip to the magical Disneyland Paris?

The stuff of dreams awaits you in the French capital, where youngsters can meet their fairytale heroes and heroines in the flesh! Formerly known as EuroDisney, the park is situated in the eastern Paris town of Marne-la-Vallee and was established on the back of two similar successful enterprises in America.

Attractions are spread across two areas - the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park - with the former housing five different 'lands' to explore. Main Street, USA, is one of the sections and recreates a small town scene in the 1900s to highlight life as it was know in Walt Disney's time.

The second land, Fantasyland, could be most popular for little girls visiting Euro Disney as this is where the animated fairy stories come to life. Youngsters can explore Sleeping Beauty's castle or fly through the sky with Peter Pan before taking a ride on the swirling and whirling Mad Hatter's teacups. In each section of the park little ones will have the chance to come face-to-face with their favourite Disney stars, making for perfect picture opportunities.

Frontierland, which is the third section of the park, has been designed to give youngsters an insight into the Wild West. They can ride a runaway mine train, have a trip on a paddle steamboat or take aim in the shooting gallery.

The fourth part of the park - Adventureland - sees kids learn pirate ways on the high seas, journey alongside Indiana Jones or swing through the trees with the Swiss Family Robinson.

Lastly is Discoveryland, where children can spin in a star cruiser, blast through time and space in a cannon and say hello to R2D2 in a droid workshop.

And after all that excitement, there's still plenty more to explore in each section of the park, so much so that you won't be able to cover all the ground in a single day. Why not pace yourself and allocate a section per day of your stay?

After you've taken in all the park has to offer, it's time to move on to the Walt Disney Studios Park, which is dedicated to the world of movie-making and has attractions spread over four sites.

Tour film studios and make your big screen debut, then take in some shows and join in lively parades featuring characters from the Disney films.

Let your inner child run wild at Disneyland Paris!
