Three new winter flight routes from Manchester Airport have been put on sale by easyJet, with flights to Amsterdam, Hamburg and Gothenburg to start in November and December 2010.
The first flight to Amsterdam is scheduled to fly on Monday November 1st 2010 followed by Hamburg on Friday November 26th and Gothenburg (Sweden) on Friday December 10th.
Ali Gayward, easyJet's commercial manager, commented: "These three new routes are ideal for passengers flying from Manchester who are looking for new options for weekend city breaks and business travellers needing easy and affordable access to key European destinations.
"easyJet now offers a total of 22 routes from Manchester Airport, and we plan to expand further from this key base to provide even more choice to travellers."
Tickets are now on sale with lead fares for all destinations starting at £27.99 one-way (including taxes).
Amsterdam is a popular city break destination with its beautiful canals and some of the best art galleries and cultural sights in Europe. Must visit attractions include Anne Frank's House where visitors are able to explore the small rooms that the Frank family hid in for more than two years and The Heineken Experience, where you can find out about the history of one of the world's leading brewers.
Hamburg in northern Germany is known as the city where The Beatles honed their performance skills, and boasts historic buildings, squares and fountains intermingled with hundreds of shops. Top sights include The Harbour, where over 22,000 ships load each year making it the second largest in the world.
Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city after Stockholm, is an up and coming city break destination following the arrival of the Gothenburg Opera in 1994 and a recent revamping of many of the city's museums. The city has also gained an international reputation for innovative cuisine using local produce, mainly north Atlantic fish and shellfish, and offers several Michelin Guide restaurants.
easyJet started operations at Manchester Airport in March 2008 and now carries more than 900,000 passengers from the base each year.
