Catch a few days in Dubai on the way to Sydney?

Austravel and Emirates have announced plans to launch a two day Dubai stop-over trip, so that travellers can make the most of a long-haul flight.

Under the new initiative, two-nights’ accommodation at the luxury five-star hotel Movenpick Bur Dubai will be offered as a complimentary extra to all passengers travelling to either Australia or New Zealand.

However, to qualify for the complimentary stop-over passengers must book a minimum of five nights’ accommodation in one of the operator's hotels.

A nine night holiday taking in Auckland, known as the ‘City of Sails’ and the Bay of Islands – an aquatic playground for adventure enthusiasts – is currently on offer from Austravel from £1,095 per person.

According to the travel specialist, multi-centres and stop-overs en-route to Australasia are becoming increasingly popular offering an ideal opportunity to take in more than one destination on such a long-haul flight.
