Strikes may disrupt summer travel to Portugal and France

Strikes may disrupt summer travel to Portugal and France

Industrial strike action in Portugal and France later this week may disrupt flights to and from both countries, easyJet warns.

Ground handling staff in the Portuguese airports Faro and Oporto are threatening to walk out on August 15th and 17th while easyJet pilots in France are planning action on August 15th, 17th and 19th.

Travellers are being advised by the airline to check the status of their flights regularly.

EasyJet said it hopes any disruption in Portugal will be limited and said the French strikes would only impact French-based crews, so not all flights would be affected.
