The Bourne legacy is heading to NYC
The JFK airport in New York is no stranger to the world of celebrity, having greeting many famous faces ferrying to and from the USA - but now the iconic airport is actually going to star in a Hollywood blockbuster.
The Bourne Legacy is the fourth instalment in the Bourne film series and it stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Ed Norton, Albert Finney, Joan Allen and Stacy Keach. Recently, key scenes from the action-thriller were shot inside American’s Terminal 8 at the airport and onboard an American Airlines Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
Even members of staff became involved in the process - Universal Pictures cast real pilots, flight attendants and ground staff to star in the film, which is being directed by Tony Gilroy, screenwriter of the first three Bourne Films.
The check-in area, Concourse B, Admirals Club and food court were also used as a backdrop to high-tempo action scenes.
To spot scenes from the films themselves travellers and film fanatics can fly return from London (Heathrow) to New York (JFK) for around £513 per person.
The Bourne Legacy opens in cinemas around the UK on 13 August 2012.
