National Geographic listed Kurdistan in their top 20 best trips

Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to develop a Hilton Hotel in the city of Erbil, in Iraq.

The 33 room Hilton Erbil Hotel and Spa will be the second Hilton property in Erbil following the 2011 announcement to develop a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton in the city.

Northern Iraq is being seen by some as something of an up-and-coming destination and Kurdistan was recently listed by National Geographic as one of their Top 20 best trips.

Hilton Erbil Hotel and Spa will feature 30 suites and a further 10 chalets, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an upscale retail arcade, and two speciality restaurants.

Zmnako Yasin Ismail Qadir, Owner, Mihtab Group said: "As we face a surge in domestic and international travel to Iraqi Kurdistan, the addition of a new property by Hilton Worldwide, and the well-known quality it represents, will be a major boost to the range of hospitality offerings currently available."
