Travellers looking for things to do in South Australia can now book places on two new tours catering for nature and wine enthusiasts.
The Tailor, formerly Outback Encounter, is offering an experience in Lake Eyre, which highlights the dramatic transformation of the arid desert landscape as the slow-moving floodwaters arrive.
Available until September 2011, the tour gives holidaymakers the opportunity to see the verdant landscapes, wildflowers and birdlife that the rising water levels bring to the area.
The experience is available from AU$2,499 (£1,655) per person for one night and two days, with return transfers from Adelaide, flights over the lake, meals and a local guide included.
Wine lovers will be heading to South Australia to spend a few days as guests of Jacob's Creek in the Barossa valley, which will be offering private tours for couples and small groups on eight weekends in January and February 2012.
An outdoor movie screening on the lawns of the winery's visitor centre will get the weekends underway, followed by activities including wine tasting and education sessions, trips to the local farmers' market and hot-air balloon flights.
For prices starting from AU$2,400 for two people sharing, guests will receive two nights' cottage accommodation, transfers, food and wine.
