Lanzarote is famous for its beaches and landscapes
Holidaymakers should have no trouble finding things to do in Lanzarote this month, following the recent launch of the 2011 Malpais Festival.
Celebrating its fifth outing this year, the event features a line-up of talented and diverse street performers from across the globe.
It is based in Arrecife, Lanzarote's capital city, and will run until April 16th 2011.
Visitors can see circus troupes, jugglers, musicians, comedians and other entertainers during the festival.
Mario 'Queen of the Circus' is among those appearing this year, giving holidaymakers the opportunity to enjoy his combination of juggling and the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
Argentine clown come musician Adrian Conde is coming to Lanzarote straight from the Street Magicians World Championships in Germany, while musical entertainment will be provided by the likes of Wonderbrass, a Mallorcan jazz band due to perform on April 19th.
Events will take place at venues such as El Charco San Gines and Parque Islas Canarias.
More information about the festival and different things to do in Arrecife and other parts of the island is available from Lanzarote Guidebook, an online resource highlighting various attractions and tourist offerings in the popular holiday destination.
