Fire strikes Vueling plane
As many as six passengers have been injured after an engine onboard an Airbus A320 jet travelling from Paris to Alicante caught fire shortly before takeoff.
According to the Paris airports authority an engine on the Vueling flight caught on the runway at Paris Orly airport.
Flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters at the airport, with passengers able to exit the plane through emergency exits.
Up to 169 passengers were on board the plane when the incident occurred at 10:30 local time (09:30 BST), the Associated Press news agency said.
Six crew members were also evacuated.
