New luxury accommodation in Peru

Peru's famous Nazca Lines
In 2008, more than a two million tourists travelled to Peru with over one million visited Cusco.
More travellers are also booking luxury accommodation, with a number of new developments now set to open between 2009 and 2011. Cusco and the surroundings areas of the Sacred Valley are key hot spot for tourists visiting the Inca citadel, Machu Picchu and will see the biggest concentration of developments.
Also developments are planned in Lima, the coast, Arequipa and Puno which highlights the importance of upmarket travel within this key southern circuit of Peru.

Libertador Luxury Collection
Peruvian chain Libertador is opening the Tambo del Inca Luxury Collection Hotel Sacred Valley in September 2009.
This Luxury hotel will feature a spa and offer guests adventure tourism experiences, an introduction to Peru's mouth watering varied cuisine and tours taking in the Inca history and the living communities of their descendants.
With its contemporary design approach to Peru's Inca heritage and the hospitality traditions of the Andes, the hotel will have 128 guest rooms, a luxury spa, two swimming pools, a restaurant, bar, conference rooms and its own train station for trips to the Inca hilltop city of Machu Picchu.

Aranwa Hotel & Spa Sacred Valley and Boutique Cusco Hotel
Aranwa has completed a luxury resort in the Sacred Valley built on the riverside land of an ancient 18th Century colonial hacienda. This five-star, 115-room hotel and spa allows gives guests the opportunity to take in mesmerizing vistas and adrenaline fuelled activities in the valley but also the chance to relax in a rejuvenating hydrotherapy pool and oxygenation room after a day trekking.
In the heart of Cusco, Aranwa are also restoring a 16th century manor into a five-star boutique hotel which is due to open in the second half of 2009.
It will have 42 oxygenated rooms which surround the elaborate courtyards with antique paintings from the Cusco School, colonial carvings and sculptures lining the corridors. In this property guests will feel taken back in time but also comfortable and relaxed in the restored tranquil surroundings.
Looking forward to 2010 Aranwa has a four-star family beach resort planned in Paracas, south of Lima, which will feature a 17,000 square foot spa offering local marine and hydrotherapy treatments, 110 rooms, convention and exhibition centre which doubles as a museum and a pier with club-bar.

Casa Andina
Casa Andina Private Collection is opening a new upscale hotel in Chincha, located between Paracas on the coast and Nazca, home of the famous Nazca Lines.
It is renovating a Casa-Hacienda with a beautiful 17th Century church complete carved wood altar and catacombs, making it a very interesting and historical place to stay. It will have 65 rooms and 11 suites, restaurant, two bars, swimming pool, spa and gymnasium, convention centre for up to 600 people and 10 hectares of gardens.
In Cusco, Casa Andina is planning to open a 5-star hotel two blocks away from the Plaza de Armas (main plaza) in 2011.
This luxury hotel will have 202 rooms, four imperial suites, seven senior suites and 10 junior suites. It will also feature a gourmet restaurant and bar, spa and gymnasium, shopping arcade, oxygen enriched rooms, business centre, free Wi-Fi, LCD TV in all rooms and 24 hour rooms service

Westin Libertador
Libertador is also working in alliance with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in opening the first Westin Hotels & Resorts in South America.
In 2010 in the San Isidro district of Lima the 30 floor hotel will open with 311 rooms, more than 6,600sqm of meeting space, a bar, a 1815 sqm Spa, two restaurants and the exclusive amenities and services of Westin Heavenly Bed.
