New Germany flights launched from regional airports
Two new flights from Newcastle and Exeter will provide easier travel to Hanover.
Budget airline Flybe has said the new routes prove their commitment to providing affordable travel to the UK's regional airports.
The Newcastle to Germany route will fly three times weekly over the summer to Hanover, effective from March 31st, 2010. The new Exeter flight launches the airline's first ever service to Germany from the south-west base; namely a three times weekly summer service to Hanover.
Chris Sanders, head of airline development at Newcastle International said: "We are delighted by this addition to Flybe's route network from Newcastle.
"The Hanover region is an interesting area to visit and these flights also provide a further way of reaching other German cities such as Hamburg, Bremen and the capital, Berlin. We also expect a significant number of German passengers will use the flights to enjoy all the north-east has to offer to tourists."
"With this brand new route to Hanover we're giving travellers an affordable way to travel to and from this popular German destination for the first time ever. We expect this new summer service to Hanover to prove popular to both business and leisure travellers," Mike Rutter, Flybe's chief commercial officer said.
