Spa breaks in Spain

Holidaymakers looking for a touch of luxury in Spain are in luck as the InterContinental La Torre Hotel opens a new spa.

The location, in south-eastern Spain, will feature therapists trained by the Temple of Po in Bangkok, in a newly created 'Eastern' space.

Each of the six treatment rooms has been individually designed and styled with silks from China, antiques and lacquered furniture from across Asia, lanterns and carpets from India.

Visitors are wrapped in the subtle aromas of the orient and lulled to the sound of the Tibetan flute.

The treatments have their roots in Asia inspired by Thai tradition, the Indonesian Jamu, Ayurveda and Indian Yoga and offer and impressive range of massage, body scrubs, wraps and facials.

Clients can put together their own experience by mixing, matching or just working with a therapist to create something unique for them.

The signature treatment at Thai Room Spa is Princess Andaman which includes an almond scrub, facial and ancient massage ritual where the asana movements of yoga are passively reproduced.

Prices start from just £60 for a Thai Cocoon Facial which includes a 30 minute de-stress session and purifying ritual.

Head over to La Torre Hotel for more information.
