In the build up to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver next February all the talk has been about the 'snow leopard' - the one-man Ghanaian ski team.

Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong was born in Ghana and first stepped on skis six years ago at an indoor ski slope in Milton Keynes.

Now he's ready to take on the world as Ghana's first professional skier, clad in his striking leopard print ski suit.

In July Kwame was invited to visit Whistler - the host mountain resort in Canada's British Columbia for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

He experienced glacier skiing on Whistler Blackcomb and also travelled the new world record-setting PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.

Kwame and his family also got to go ziplining in Whistler's temperate rain forest, cycled some valley trains, went canoeing on Alta Lake and visited the Squamish Lil'wat cultural centre.
