European Rail has announced a range of new destinations in preparation for this year's festive season.
Expected to be popular are services to Germany's Christmas markets - which are legendary for their size and range of quality gifts, food and setting in the historic centres of the nation.
The nearest is at Aachen, just over four hours by train from London, or Cologne only six hours away with seven to choose from, the most famous by the iconic cathedral.
Prices to Cologne start from £95 return in 2nd class or £197 in 1st class.
On the overnight services to Berlin, Munich and Innsbruck you can travel in 2nd class Couchette from £184 or in a private two berth sleeper from £219 per person.
Night trains also now call at Austrian ski resorts in the Tirol and Innsbruck on Fridays, coming back Saturdays during the ski season.
All destinations are accessible with just one change in Paris or Brussels.
