Travellers considering whether to hire a car on holiday can find new safe-driving tips for emerging destinations.

The newly updated NationalDriveSafe.co.uk gives road safety information on destinations including Bulgaria, Lithuania and Jordan.

The website from National Car Rental also has safe driving tips for Canada, the USA, Africa and other Middle East destinations, as well as information on driving regulations and requirements, speed limits, alcohol limits and road tolls.

"We count road safety amongst our top priorities as a rental provider, especially as 68 per cent of our customers said in a recent survey that they had got lost while driving on past holidays abroad and 53 per cent said they had encountered confusing and unclear road signs along with local driving eccentricities," commented Dawn Clayton, leisure marketing manager for National Car Rental.
