Another tour operator has announced it will be offering holidays to the hotly tipped destination of Cape Verde.

Portland holidays joins Thomson, Cape Verde Experience and Holiday Options in offering breaks to the archipelago off the coast of Senegal.

The islands have a unique mix of Brazilian, Portuguese and African cultures, unspoilt beaches and rugged landscapes to explore, along with a mild climate.

With Portland Holidays' new breaks, travellers are being offered accommodation in two hotels on the island of Sal, the most developed of Cape Verde's ten main islands.

The hotels, Club Hotel Riu Funan and Club Hotel Riu Garopa, have a Moorish palace theme and are situated by long sandy beaches and have a pool.

The tour operator has a week's holiday available from March 26th departing from London Gatwick from £699 per person.
