Lapland for romantics

For a romantic break with a difference, head to the frozen north for a brief encounter with Santa in his snowy Lapland home.

This December Santa’s Lapland is offering new two and three night holidays, especially for `loved-up’ romantics, with accommodation for two in a luxury suite with private sauna and the opportunity to search out the Northern Lights.

Couples will also have the opportunity to take a romantic reindeer sleigh ride and husky dog sled ride snuggled up under fur blankets, traverse frozen lakes and speed through snowy woodlands on a snow scooter safari and spend a complimentary day in a snowy woodland where they will be whisked off by snowmobile to have a private meeting with Santa himself.

Accommodation for two is in a beautiful suite with private sauna in the luxurious Geilas Wing of the Hotel Tunturi in the heart of the village of Saariselka, north of the Arctic Circle.

A two night, three day stay, inclusive of flights, transfers, half board accommodation in a suite with sauna, a full day’s activities in a snowy woodland and private meeting with Santa costs from £834 per person, based on two adults sharing, with departures available between December 1st and 23rd 2012.
