Truly far-flung, the Finnish Lapland town of Kilpisjärvi sits by a three-country border with Norway and Sweden and boasts remarkably regular Northern Lights sightings.

The Aurora Zone’s new trip there offers cross-country skiing, ice fishing and ‘Aurora-hunts’ by snowshoe and snowmobile. You’ll then follow the designated Northern Lights Route to Muonio, where the population density rises to one person per three reindeer.

Departing February & March, the trip costs £1,995pp (two sharing) with flights (Heathrow), transfers, seven nights’ full board and activities.

For more information or to book please call 01670 785012 or visit the Aurora Zone website.
