This classic California road-trip begins in the bright lights of Los Angeles with highlights including Hearst Castle at St Simeon, sunny San Francisco, the gold rush town of Sacramento, the granite cliffs, waterfalls and lakes of Yosemite National Park, the gastronomic town of Bakersfield and the spectacular coastal roads to the Spanish-influenced city of San Diego, before finishing with three nights in iconic Santa Monica.
