Singapore F1 night race set for Sept 2008

Tuesday, 07 Aug 2007 10:39
The world's first Formula One grand prix taking place at night will be in Singapore on September 28th 2008.

The Singapore grand prix will be the 15th event in next year's Formula One 18-race schedule, coming at a potentially critical time in the season.

The race will consist of a 3.25 mile long street circuit, passing Singapore landmarks including a giant observation wheel that is set to be the world's largest upon its completion in February.

Holidaymakers can get a taste of the route via Google Earth thanks to a download from www.earthsg.com, which gives a bird's-eye view of what the race will be like.
