Superjumbo hits Heathrow

The first Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 commercial flight to the UK landed at London Heathrow airport yesterday afternoon and it seems there was quite a party atmosphere on board.

Watch this video to see what it was like being on board the historic flight.

It is claimed the superjumbo is a green option for long-haul air travel as the 471 seats reduces the overall amount of fuel used per seat mile.

The A380 is the quietest large passenger aircraft in operation and it is hoped the extra capacity of these huge planes will reduce airport congestion.
