Loganair announces flight times for Dundee to Birmingham route

Loganair has announced tickets are on sale for its scheduled flights from Dundee to Birmingham.
The new route is expected to provide a welcome boost for the region and is part of the company’s drive to introduce a number of new services from Dundee airport in the coming years.
Three return flights to Birmingham will operate each weekday – in the morning, mid-afternoon and evening – as well as a return evening service late on Sundays.
Loganair previously announced it was planning to create a new base at Dundee airport as part of a franchise agreement with Flybe.
The new route is a direct response to customer demands following the high-profile suspension of FlyWhoosh flights from the city in December 2007.
"The Midlands and Tayside are very important markets for us," stated Peter Tierney, chief executive of Loganair.
"These flights, coupled with the creation of our new base in Dundee, are a welcome addition to the growing network of air services we currently offer travellers in and around Scotland and the UK."
The routes are expected to provide significant economic benefits to the Tayside region.
The two new routes will operate under the Flybe banner before the franchise agreement between it and Loganair starts in October.
