Commonwealth Games 2014 to go to Glasgow

Sports fans looking for a British city break will be able to enjoy a host of events taking place for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The city has won the right to host the competition in 2014 beating the Nigerian capital of Abuja in the vote of the 71 commonwealth countries and territories, it was announced in Sri Lanka at the end of last week.
The games are set to take place over 11 days in the summer of 2014, starting from July 23rd, with competitions taking place in 17 different sports.
This includes athletics, boxing, badminton, weightlifting, lawn bowls, hockey, rugby sevens, squash, cycling, shooting, wrestling, gymnastics, judo, table tennis and triathlon.
