36 new adventure holidays launched for 2007

Thursday, 12 Oct 2006 14:17
Adventure holiday specialists Explore have unveiled 36 new adventure holidays for their latest 2007 to 2008 brochure.

Nine new European adventure holidays include a Siberian winter adventure with huskies, snowmobiles and ice hovercraft; a trek into the little-known Italian region of Friuli and an eastern European bus and train journey through Moldova, the Crimea and Kiev.

There is also a Scottish adventure to be had with an island-hopping cruise across the country's remote north.

The company has also added itineraries in Pakistan and Tajikistan for the first time, as well as a new canoe trip along the Zambezi river (which runs through Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique), and a trek up Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey.

Explore is also taking bookings for the soon-to-open highest railway in the world, which will travel the rugged terrains of the Tibetan plateau.
