Holidaymakers visiting the historic city of York will be able to get an extra night's accommodation free if they stay two nights with a new offer rolled out across 55 of the city's hotels.
From this month until the end of March 2008 almost 10,000 rooms will be available under the deal, with prices starting from £55 per person for three nights in bed and breakfast accommodation.
"York has so much to offer with its award winning restaurants, theatres, museums and shops. By extending their stay visitors will be able to truly appreciate the diversity of the cultural and historic attractions that made York the European Tourism City of the Year 2007," explained Kate McMullen of York Tourism Bureau.
The tourist board will also be offering a free extra day on a two-day York Pass, which gives free entry to 28 of the city's attractions. The pass is now £27, saving £7.
