Holidaymakers looking for an active break in the UK will have over 60 walks to choose from at the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival this May.

The festival, which takes place from May 19th to June 3rd 2007, will offer a number of themed walks, tracing the history of famous locals such as US founding father captain John Smith and poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, along with gourmet tasting tours.

"The festival programme has been put together to ensure there are walks suitable for everyone, from short level routes accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs to longer more challenging routes for the experienced rambler," said Karen East of East Lindsey District Council.

The 16-day festival takes place in the Lincolnshire Wolds area of outstanding natural beauty and the surrounding countryside.
