Regent Street to be transformed into A1GP grid

Monday, 07 Apr 2008 15:09
Motorsport enthusiasts will get the chance to get up close and personal with 22 A1GP vehicles as the racing tour comes to Regent Street on April 27th.

Starting at 11am, the free event will allow the public to see the cars, meet the 22 teams and a host of drivers until closing time at 5pm.

A giant screen will broadcast a selection of hi-octane highlights from the A1GP tour, as well as driver interviews. Formula One racing legends Emerson Fittipaldi and Alan Jones will also be dropping in.

The event will include display stands, interactive competitions and tyre change challenges. A1GP's partnership with Ferrari will be celebrated by the presence of two 599 GTBs, used as the safety car on the tour.

For those interested in attending, Piccadilly underground station is within easy walking distance. For further information, check out the official A1GP site or regentstreetonline.com.
