Real Hotels moves into administration

purplehotels goes into administration
Real Hotels has called in the administrators after running into financial difficulties.

The organisation – which operates the purplehotels and Stop Inns brands, as well as operating under its own name – operates around 50 "no-frills chic" properties in the UK.

In a statement the company confirmed: "It is with deep regret that the board has appointed administrators, Shay Bannon and Antony Nygate of BDO Stoy Hayward, with immediate effect in respect of its trading subsidiary, The Real Hotel Company."

Real Hotels also runs the New Connaught Rooms conferencing venue in Covent Garden, London.

Shares in the organisation were suspended from the AIM on January 13th, following uncertainty over the company's finances.
