If you are stuck for ideas on where to go this Christmas there is still a chance to get away for the festive season in England.

There are dozens of late deals across Cornwall available over Christmas, some with special discounts.

The county's temperate weather, fantastic coastline, pretty villages and traditional foods make it one of the UK's favourite places to holiday.

With this in mind, travelbite.co.uk has picked some of its favourite Cornwall last minute Christmas break deals from across the web.

  • Custodian's House, Pendennis Castle
The Custodian's House at Pendennis Castle in Penzance makes a cosy retreat for a couple or young family this Christmas.

The property lies within the atmospheric Pendennis castle walls, making it ideal for exploring the castle itself, taking in the sea views or heading down to Falmouth Bay for romantic walks.

The cottage is available via English Heritage, and costs £57 per person per night for a four or seven-night break beginning on December 21st or 28th 2007.

English Heritage is also offering a decorated Christmas tree, and a special Christmas hamper for guests staying on Christmas Day.

  • The Charthouse, Falmouth

Sea views, a balcony and close proximity to the maritime museum, shops and pubs make the Charthouse in Falmouth a great Christmas getaway.

The property is suited to older families, sleeps four people (one double and one twin room) and has views all the way from the village of Flushing to Falmouth harbour.

Within easy driving distance are golf courses, beaches, National Trust gardens and the Eden project.

The property is available via Classic Cottages, with a special deal that sees a week down to £621 (equivalent to around £22 per person per night) from December 22nd to 29th 2007.

For more information on visiting the region see the official Cornwall tourist board website.
