Holidaymakers keen to speak to humans rather than automated booking systems for their summer holidays can get hold of travel companies directly with a new cheat sheet.

Cheapflights.co.uk has unveiled the new edition of its "cheat sheet" this week, which features telephone numbers for the top airlines, travel companies and accommodation providers.

It also has instructions for bypassing automated voices and pre-recorded messages. For the first time this year, the Cheapflights cheat sheet also has the number to call for complaints if things start going wrong.

"Following the resounding success of our original cheat sheet, we felt it was our duty to the consumer to make it even better. Despite the increasing use of the internet, there are times when customers will need to speak to a real person. Our 'cheat sheet' comprises most of the leading UK travel companies," commented David Soskin, Cheapflights chief executive.
