Beer prices around the world revealed

Beer prices around the world revealed
The price of beer around the world has been collaborated by travel experts using a 'Beerometer'.

The price comparison list comes as ministers in Scotland debate over minimum pricing of alcohol.

Round the World Experts say their global Beerometer allows travellers to enter any country and instantly see in pounds Sterling how much a pint would cost.

The cheapest destinations found by the Beerometer were:

1. Delhi: 50 pence a pint
2. Siem Reap, Cambodia: 69 pence a pint
3. Rio De Janerio: 75 pence a pint
4. Phanom Penh: 76 pence a pint
5. Buenos Aires: 84 pence a pint

In London the average pint was found to cost £3.20, while in Dubai a pint will set you back an eye-watering £4.18.

Robyn Simper, marketing manager, Round the World Experts said: "Sometimes the simple things on holiday can make a real difference.

"Knowing how much you are likely to spend in each destination on a round the world trip is an important part of the pre-trip planning. Our Beerometer is a simple tool that can help travellers budget in advance and head for the places that offer the best value for money."
