New easyJet flights from Manchester and Gatwick

New flight routes to sunshine destinations have been launched this week by easyJet from Manchester and London Gatwick airports.

From today a daily flight service from Manchester to Malaga has started up and May 2nd will see the commencement of twice-weekly flights to Crete.

Also beginning this week are new routes from London Gatwick airport to Mykonos, Montpellier, Ajaccio and Bastia.

The twice-weekly flights to Mykonos in Greece took off today, while the daily service to Montpellier in France starts tomorrow and Sunday flights to Ajaccio and Bastia in Corsica will begin on May 4th 2008.

David Osborne, easyJet UK general manager, commented that the airline "has seen a huge increase in flights to summer sun destinations this year".

The airline expects to carry 123,000 passengers on the new Manchester flight routes in the next 12 months.
