Fiji travel warnings relaxed

The government has lifted its warnings to avoid all but essential travel to Fiji's capital Suva.
Due to the potential threat of civil unrest following a military coup last December, the Foreign Office had advised holidaymakers to avoid the city.
However, late last week the Foreign Office lifted its warnings, though it continues to advise holidaymakers to exercise caution, particularly in urban areas.
"There remains a potential for civil unrest following the military coup. You should avoid all military or political rallies and large gatherings of people, and avoid openly discussing political issues," the Foreign Office advised.
It added: "A state of emergency is in place in Fiji. If you are in Fiji, you should register with the British High Commission."
