If you are thinking of swapping Christmas at home for the baroque beauty of the Czech Republic's capital Prague but are not so keen on staying on Christmas Day, then one hotel booking specialist is offering an added incentive.

As a gift to "anyone who cannot bear to be bogged by the stresses and strains of the festive period", hotel bookers Hotelopia are giving away free hotel stays in Prague on December 25th.

The company has five, four and three-star accommodation across the city, and to qualify for the free stay you will need to book a minimum of four nights to include December 25th.

Participating hotels include the three-star Hotel Globus on the edge of Prague Park, £9 per night including breakfast and the four-star Hotel Best Western Selsky Dvur, a country hotel, close to shops, bars and restaurants, which is £14 per night per person for bed and breakfast or £22 per night per person for half board.
