French strike to cause rail travel disruption

Industrial action by transport workers across France will disrupt travel plans tomorrow (May 22nd) but Eurostar services will continue to operate as usual.
The 48-hour nationwide strike will affect some rail, flight and local transport services as workers protest the pension reform plans of French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
Eurostar warns travellers may experience disruption to onward TGV connections to destinations in France as well as some metro and bus services.
People travelling by Eurostar are able to change their tickets for alternative dates or obtain refunds by contacting their original point of sale.
Paris transport operator RATP has said a "normal or virtually normal" service is expected to operate on the Paris metro.
However the north-south RER B suburban rail service from central Paris to the airports will be operating a reduced service.
The French government has announced plans to require 41 years of work before drawing a full pension, instead of the current 40-year limit.
