Travel warnings for holidaymakers visiting Mexico have been relaxed today, after Hurricane Dean passed through the country.
The Foreign Office has lifted its advice against all but essential travel to the state of Veracruz, though it explained there remained "the possibility of damage" in the region.
It added: "We are aware of significant damage to infrastructure in the areas south of Tulum (including Tulum City) in the state of Quintana Roo . . .[and] the State of Campeche; British nationals travelling to these areas should exercise caution, monitor local and international weather updates and follow the advice of the local authorities."
