New north-east Canada route from London

A new route from London Gatwick to North America's oldest city, St John's in north-east Canada is to start from May 2007.
The service is being launched by Astraeus, an independent British airline that recently began the first direct service to up-and-coming winter sun destination Cape Verde.
The airline says the route is the only year-round direct service to Newfoundland in Canada, and will operate three times per week.
Tickets, which will be on sale from this month, will cost CN$499 (£220), with flight times expected to be around six hours.
Hugh Parry, Astraeus managing director, explained they decided to set up the route partly because British travellers were becoming "ever more adventurous".
"Newfoundland is a stunningly beautiful province, virtually unspoilt - and is proving to be a popular destination for people looking for new frontiers for both holidays and holiday home acquisition," Mr Parry explained.
"St John's is a gateway to a region which can truly be described as 'the great outdoors'."
