If you are fond of cruise holidays then you may be interested in the news that the world's largest cruise liner is almost ready to set sail.
Royal Caribbean International’s latest ship,
Liberty of the Seas, is currently 97 per cent complete and at Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland.
The new cruise liner will undergo final sea trials between April 10th and 14th 2007 and is set to be delivered to Royal Caribbean on April 18th.
"Last year, the arrival of
Freedom of the Seas stimulated an increase in bookings throughout the cruise industry and we are hugely excited about the potential of
Liberty of the Seas," said Jo Rzymowska of Royal Caribbean.
Royal Caribbean's Freedom-class ships are the largest in the world and feature onboard surf parks as well as ice skating rinks and rock climbing walls.
The wide variety of facilities on board
Liberty of the Seas has encouraged Royal Caribbean to include extra at-sea days in its Caribbean itineraries, allowing guests to enjoy the H20 children’s waterpark, the miniature golf, the largest gym afloat, and all the bar, restaurants, cafes and shops on the Royal Promenade shopping street running through the centre of the ship.
