Low-cost flights to the Israeli city of Tel Aviv have been launched by ThomsonFly this month.
The airline is now operating three flights a week from London Luton and Manchester airports to the city, which is known for its cultural attractions, nightlife and beaches.
Tel Aviv is also a great destination for an active holiday, ThomsonFly explains.
"Extremely good weather helps makes Tel Aviv the perfect destination for an active holiday. It has 14 kilometres of coastline so that windsurfing, diving, surfing, kayaking and yachting are all on offer virtually year round," commented Guy Stephenson, commercial director of Thomsonfly.
"The 6km Tayelet (promenade) along Tel Aviv's beach front allows for early morning jogging, walks in the afternoon or evening strolls. Cycling is also extremely popular, particularly as the city is very flat, but also in the suburbs and surrounds of the city with several locations to hire bikes.
"Visiting Jaffa is another popular option for the less active, where you can soak up the ancient culture and enjoy some retail therapy," he added.
The flights will also come with the option of kosher meals, which can be pre-booked at the same time as the flight.
