Thomas Cook's new Spa and Sport brochure
Thomas Cook is launching its first ever brochure for customers seeking spa treatments and sporting activities as part of their holidays.
The
Spa and Sport brochure will feature 20 hotels offering pre-bookable spa packages across 15 destinations, as well as highlighting hotels that offer sports facilities including gyms, golf, squash and scuba.
The brochure is tapping into a growing trend for spa holidays, by giving holidaymakers the chance to book sporting sessions and beauty treatments in advance.
Britons took 20,000 spa holidays outside of the UK last year, and one in three people have had health and beauty treatments in the last 12 months.
Thomas Cook expects the number of hotels featured in the brochure to nearly double by the launch of the next edition in April.
"As we say in the brochure, the most precious gift in life is wellbeing," said Thomas Cook's Robbie Orr. "The 21st century is seeing Britons become increasingly health-conscious - with gym membership and spa treatments the norm for millions.
"Until now, spa holidays have been seen as expensive and for the elite, but Thomas Cook
Spa & Sport makes a 'wellbeing' holiday a realistic option for everybody. We are expecting a great reception for this brochure in the marketplace, and look forward to helping customers truly relax on their holidays next year."
The company's chief executive said the launch of the brochure was part of the evolution of the package holiday.
Manny Fontenla-Novoa said: "We are 100 per cent committed to package holidays - and this is just one of the ways that we are developing to suit today's holidaymakers. We know that our customers have wide-ranging tastes and that one size doesn't fit all when it comes to holidays. We are making it as easy as possible for people to find the perfect package for their next week in the sun."
The brochure will be available from December 15th. For more information see:
